How to reserve

Contact the East-West Center Housing office directly, either by phone, fax or e-mail.  Mention that you will be attending GALANA in December 2004.  Book early!  They will begin to release the block of rooms on 15 October 2004.  Make sure you reserve before then. 

Cancellations must reach the East-West Center by 15 October 2004, or cancellation charges will be assessed.

Comments

• A few minutes walk to the Imin Center. The picture below was taken steps from Lincoln Hall, looking toward the Imin Conference Center.  The big building in the background past the Imin Center is Hale Manoa.

• Dormitory rooms with shared bathroom facilities.
• Telephone service, bedding and linen are provided in all rooms.
• Room cleaning services, towels and soap are not provided.
• Towel packets are available at the front desk for a nominal cost.
• Double rooms are furnished with 2 single beds.
• Because graduate students generally don't care that bathroom facilities are shared and the rooms are small and spartan, we reserved rooms in Hale Manoa primarily for graduate students on a tight budget.  Two graduate students sharing a room pay $17.50 per night - an unheard of price in Hawai‘i.
