ALOHA
RECEPTION
(Free event)
Friday, 17 December
5:30PM-7:30PM
The
first day of GALANA 2004 is not over yet! The
Aloha Reception will be combined with the PhD
Poster Session – so
you can satisfy your brain and stomach at the same time.
Pupus and drinks will be provided.
It will be
a great chance for early musing and schmoozing!
AQUARIUM BASH
Saturday, 18 December
6:30PM-9:00PM
(Bus leaves from the
conference site at 6:00PM)
Waikiki Aquarium
After
a hard day's conferencing, come down to the seashore for food, fun, and
fish
(on display in tanks!). The Waikiki Aquarium, the third oldest public
aquarium in
the United States, is located next to a living reef on the Waikiki
shoreline. Food and drinks will be
served under the
moonlight in the Aquarium's tropical garden setting.
Participants will also have the opportunity
to enjoy live Hawaiian entertainment under the swaying palms. Roundtrip transportation to the Aquarium from
the Imin Conference Center will be provided for those who are signed up
for it.
GALANA BANQUET
Sunday, 19 December
7:00PM-9:00PM
On
the last evening of GALANA, come join us for our informal banquet. Help yourself to the buffet (and sidle up to
the cash bar) as often as you want. Afterwards,
relax and … digest (pun intended!). Find
out the winners of the poster competition. (We
promise, there won't be many speeches.)
BUT WAIT!
Buy one, get the second one … cheaper!!!
