The Ling-l mailing list


Ling-l is for the use of members of the University of Hawai‘i Linguistics Department (and well-wishers). Currently, anyone can send messages to ling-l, including nonsubscribers. Only subscribers can read the archives or access list statistics. To subscribe ling-l, follow the procedure below.
  • Go to https://listserv.hawaii.edu.
  • Click on the link "Subscriber's Corner" (top left).
  • Ignore the text boxes for now and click on the link "Register with UH LISTSERV" (top right).
  • In the three text boxes on the "Registering your LISTSERV Password" page, enter your email address and password. A confirmation of registration will be sent to your mailbox.
    Note: Your account will not be validated until you have gone through all the steps below.
  • Check your mailbox. The confirmation messasge should arrive within a few minutes.
  • Click the link provided in the confirmation message.
  • Go to https://listserv.hawaii.edu again.
  • Click on the link "Subscriber's Corner".
  • Log in using your email address and password.
  • Click on the link "Continue to LISTSERV".
  • Type in "ling-l" in the "Narrow Selection" text box on the left.
  • Choose "All Lists" from the "Show" popup menu.
  • Click "Submit". LING-L should be shown in the search results.
  • Click the checkbox for "LING-L".
  • Choose "Subscribe" from the popup menu below. A confirmation message will be sent to you within a few minutes.
  • Click on the link provided in the confirmation message.
