Research and Teaching Labs

Most laboratory Linguistics research at UH is conducted in the Language Analysis and Experimentation Labs, which has four sections:

• The General Lab, housing the Language and Cognition Lab
• The Phonetics Lab
• The Tracker Lab
• The Acquisition Lab

Other labs on campus where language research is conducted include the following.

• The Kewalo Basin Marine Mammal Laboratory houses research on dolphin and whale language and cognition.
• The Laboratory for Interactive Learning Technologies conducts develops educational software that promotes collaborative learning.
• The Adaptive Multimodal Interaction Laboratory houses research on human-computer interactions.
